Relax in cool waterfalls and in natural spas, see pre historic palms, ancient Aboriginal rock art sites, giant mounds, and carnivorous plants while we drive you through the roughest terrain Australia has to offer.
Day 1: Travelling up the scenic coastal road passing Port Douglas to the Rex Range. Morning Tea stop at McLeod River. From here we head to the Laura escarpment in searc of Ancient Aboriginal Rock Art. Laura for lunch (own expense) arriving in the afternoon at our overnight camp at Musgrave Station. (Dinner at own expense, Morning Tea only)
Day 2: We cross the Great Dividing Range to the old gold mining town of Coen. We have morning tea and a swim in the Coen River. Archer River for lunch (own expense) arriving late afternoon at Bramwell Station, tonight's camp. Dinner is on us tonight. ( B, D)
Day 3: Today we traverse parts of Cape York's rugged terrain at Fruit Bat Falls, Eliott Falls & Twin Falls for lunch. We cross the Jardine River by vehicle fery. Arriving at Seisia to watch the sun set over the Islands of the Torres Trait and dinner (own expense) and our camp for the night. (B)
Day 4: An exciting morning this morning, as we head for our goal of the trip THE TOP OF AUSTRALIA. Here we sepnd a few hours exploirng the area. We lunch at the Jardine River, then head for our camp at Australia's most northerly working cattle station, stopping along the way at the tallest termite mound on Cape York. Dinner is on us tonight. Day 5: We will travel through Lakefield National Park, still trekking south we have morning tea at archer River and lunch at Coen (own expense). We have a swim and relax in the Coen River before arriving at tonight's camp, an old telegraph station late in the afternoon. Dinner at own expense. (B)
Day 6: Before saying goodby to the outback we travel through Lakefield National Park (a huge wetland area) and then head back down to Cairns. (B,L)

On this safari we are travelling to very remote regions. Occasionally things happen which may require a change to the itinerary. To enjoy the full benefit of your safari you should not be rigid with your expectations. Be flexible, open-minded, and prepared for the unexpected because after all, this is the outback.
