 The Oceanis 320 is a lovely medium sized bareboat charter sailing vessel and beautifully presented in the Magnetic Island/Palm Island region. It's an easy to sail yacht and well suited to this region.

You will be impressed at the standard of presentation of these beautiful craft, our standard vessels are great value and have most of the extras available on the deluxe yachts. Each yacht is meticulously cleaned and maintained prior to charter. A comprehensive 2 hour, 70 point, pre-charter check is undertaken before you step aboard. What about Provisioning?… Provisioning the vessel is effortless. You can choose from a comprehensive list of menus and beverages and have us do the shopping for you, or, you can shop at any of the nearby supermarkets in Townsville. Shopping is also easy on Magnetic Island and Great Palm Island at well stocked Supermarkets and several General stores. How much experience is necessary? You do not need a license. If you can sail a dinghy or beach-cat you are probably ready to sail around Maggie. Charters to the Palm Island Group require one of your party to be suitably experienced aboard yachts of a similar size. Your briefing will include the following topics. Please contact us for more information on any skills required: preparing yacht for sailing, engine checks and operation, anchoring, piloting near coral, and mooring. trimming sails, tacking and gybing. basic chart reading, depth sounder and navigation. right of way rules for sail and power. use of onboard facilities e.g showers, stove etc. SCUBA gear hire is available to certified divers by completing an order form. Please present your PADI or similar ticket at the briefing. Snorkelling gear is provided free. Boarding times at 11 am returning 12 noon. Other times are by arrangement. Stowing of food and personal items takes around 30 minutes, the briefing takes around 1 1/2 hours. A Cruising guide costs $80/half day or $150/full day. Some charterers prefer to hand the responsibility of sailing the vessel during the day to someone else so they can really relax. Magnetic Palm Islands Rent-a-Yacht reserves the right to insist on a cruising guide. Deposit and Bond Once you have chosen your dates, confirmation is by payment of a $300 deposit. The balance is due 60 days prior to boarding. On arrival a security deposit of $800.00 is payable before departure. This bond is fully refundable less deductions for lost items or broken. Cancellation Travel insurance will cover you fully against loss of non-refundable fares and fees. Cancellation prior to full payment being made incurs the fee of the deposit being forfeited. If the cancellation occurs after full payment has been made then you are liable for full payment unless another charterer can be found for the period. We strongly recommend travel insurance. The fee includes the use of private moorings at Horseshoe Bay, Magnetic Island. Charter Fee is in A$ for the yacht per night and includes GST.
